JUVÉDERM VOLUMA XC is indicated for deep (subcutaneous and/or supraperiosteal) injection for cheek augmentation to correct age-related volume deficit in the mid-face and for augmentation of the chin region to improve the chin profile in adults over the age of 21.
JUVÉDERM VOLLURE XC injectable gel is indicated for injection into the mid-to-deep dermis for correction of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds (such as nasolabial folds) in adults over the age of 21.

The face is full of blood vessels and with any trauma, bruising can happen. Bruising and swelling are common side effects post injection, although does not happen to everyone.
Pre appointment: Avoid alcohol, Ibuprofen, Aleve, Aspirin, fish oil, or any medications that may thin the blood which can lead to an increase in bruising. Please have a freshly cleaned face (no make up).
Post appointment: Ice (20 min on, 20 min off) to help with potential swelling & bruising. Arnica Montana (available for purchase ) is a homeopathic medication to help prevent bruising and swelling after injections.
